The Things We Dreamers Do (After Six Years of Blogging)

It's not easy being a dreamer. Seeing silver linings and reaching for rainbows in the sky when there are a sea of people in beige trench coats and black umbrellas walking on the street below can be daunting. But I think there is a beauty in what we, the dreamers do. We use our light, no matter who dim or how bright, to shine it on others. Then if we're lucky, a type of magic happens and a single soul puts that umbrella down, and looks up...life is so sweet that way.

Six years of blogging and I hope that the things we dreamers do have affected your life, and that you, a fellow a dreamer, have made an impact on others.

When I started Her Deep Thoughts six years ago, I was on a journey. I felt lost and was using my love of writing as a form of catharsis.  As I began to discover my dharma, a domino effect happened; people were reaching out to me and sharing with me their own dreams and thanking me for my candor. To this day, I cannot express how much of an honor it is to be able to touch peoples lives with what I do. It is such a blessing to be able to be a light, and to reflect that light in others.

As I started to become sure of the person I was meant to be, you were there along the way to read about the  careful steps I took toward my dreams. Well, I finally made the leap!

A chain of truly extraordinary events occurred that gave me the courage to make a conscious decision to make acting my day job, and to use my talents for writing and teaching as an additional form of income.  Doing what I love is the only work I ever want to do. Life is too short to waste my time on things that no longer serve my happiness.  This is my truth.

When you say what you want out loud, when you verbalize it and believe in it, it is beyond extraordinary how the Universe - God - will move mountains for you. Literally move mountains, open doors, and light the way, even when you don't see away. It's beyond magical and my life is a testament to that. If nothing else, my journey has been and continues to be an exercise in faith and a lesson that what we seek we shall indeed find, sometimes slowly but surely, and other times faster than you can blink.

I've opened a new chapter in the book of my life, and I cannot wait to share the adventures to come over at LisannValentin.com.  I hope you'll subscribe. Thank you for always believing in me, and shining your light on me.

Hugs,
Lisann
